How to build a flexible three dimensional structure? This double-curved three dimensional screen evolved through its connection logic. The interconnection between the modules is based on two joint components, standard carriage bolts and custom lasercut wood components that interlock with the actual module. The two dimensional module itself is made out of 1/16 lasercut wood veneer. The organization of the module generates a fluid three dimensional flexible network. Designed by Paul Kweton and Hidekazu Takahashi for the Repeat Digital Fabrication Competition 2010.
