The design of the polyhedral watch case and honeycomb inspired lunette are based on generative structural form-finding studies.
The juxtaposition of delrin plastic (watchcase) and gold plated stainless steel (lunette and bottom lid) questions
efficiency not only in terms of cost versus finish appearance but also celebrates the combination of an mainly industrially used materials with a glamorous materials often used for jewelery.
'B' reflects the process of 'value engineering' as critical filter and essential part of design build tool palette.
The redesigned '8to5' dial (formerly used in the '8to5' wrist watch, celebrating and critizing the monotonous corporate work day) borrows architectural graphic
elements which look quite familiar to the trained architectural drafter.
'B' is sweet.
