The Plywood E-Scooter is a hybrid merging the functions of a typical e-scooter with a basket / tray compartment.
The design, geometry and materiality pay homage to a lineage of CNC cut plywood hybrid furniture developed by Studio PAULBAUT.
Layers of continuous CNC milled marine grade birch plywood generate the form and solidity of the Plywood Scooter.
Visual connection to the basket / tray compartment is given via the gaps between the plywood layers.
Grocery bags, backpacks or other box-y shaped items are safely stored below the 'seat'.
An optional net secures the bag during movement.
